We’re nearly at our three-year anniversary running in-person events and coming up to the first anniversary since launching the Club Memberships last year. We’ve run over 100 events, more online, and had taken members on a very successful trip to the annual Watches and Wonders show in Geneva.
We take great pride in being an open, inclusive, accessible, and fun community. There’s no snobbery, no sales pitch, and no bullshit. We keep it all normal and informal, wherever we are. From casual meetups to exclusive brand events, here’s what our members have to say about their journey with us.
A Welcoming and Inclusive Community
One of our members perfectly captures the spirit of our club:
“The Watch Collectors Club is friendly, accessible, and open to all whether you come along with a G-Shock or a Patek Phillipe. I’ve been lucky enough to attend some of the general meetups which are great to see a wonderful selection of watches and plant a few seeds in my mind about the next purchase. Which if you’re anything like me is never far away! I also really love the meetups in connection with watch brands. I’ve really found a love for Bremont since attending the evening at the store a few months ago. It was like finding the watch version of me with an interest in Aviation, Formula One, and good British design. I’m currently waiting on one to add to the collection.”
Another had this to say:
“When I first attended I went alone not knowing anyone, but I was taken in with open arms being introduced to Hamish & Ed who made room at the table to let me talk to everyone. Here you are able to meet people from the start of their watch journey or someone who has been collecting or been in the industry for many years. Most importantly everyone is super friendly and is always wanting to chat or ask any questions. For these reasons I repeatably come back to the club.”

The Social Aspect: Building Connections
For many, the social element of The Watch Collectors’ Club is a major draw:
“Primarily the social element of the club. Getting into boutiques or even just the pub and sharing in a passion for an incredibly niche subject, with likeminded people, is super enjoyable. Additionally, the educational aspect of the group is great. An event with IWC really stands out for being both a wonderful social experience and incredibly informative, whilst introducing me to a line of watches (the Aquatimer) I would never have previously considered but for which I became an immediate fan.”
“One of the most enjoyable aspects of the club is meeting other watch enthusiasts with wildly different collections than myself. Speaking with other collectors about their interests and experiences helped me better understand and develop my own taste over time.”
Our events are designed to bring people together, fostering friendships and shared learning experiences. Whether you’re discussing the latest watch trends at a boutique or enjoying a casual pub meetup, we’re a community where you can make friends while getting hands-on with great timepieces and exploring your curiosity.

A Non-Pretentious Atmosphere
We pride ourselves on creating a relaxed environment where everyone feels comfortable:
“I love the non-pretentious nature of the people who attend (starting from the organizers) and the fact that conversations between people could end up going in all sorts of weird and wonderful directions. It’s very hard to predict what you will end up talking to people about at the meet-up and that’s extremely cool.”
We don’t care what you’re into; we’re a Club for Everyone who likes watches. We host events focussing on everything from Microbrands and Swatches, to High Horology and handmade watches. You’re equally welcome at all of them.
Welcoming New Members with Open Arms
The watch industry can often be stuffy and intimidating, but we make sure you feel welcomed from day one:
“None of my friends are interested in watches. So I find it great that once or twice per month I can go somewhere where I can talk about watches in a casual and friendly setting. Also, as a watch novice, the members of The Watch Collectors’ Club have been so welcoming and taught me a lot!”
“In a way we all are seeking belonging in one way or the other. After moving to London, the club was my first social circle and immediately I felt like a part of a family here. The standout part is the absolute lack of snobbery. We all appreciate the quartz watches and the Rolexes, Omegas, and the Octo Finissimos with same intent! I try to never miss a session when I’m in town.”

Our Trips and Visits are another great place to make new friends
We took 13 Members and partners to Geneva for a weekend visiting the Watches and Wonders Show in April. We had a full itinerary and while it was our first time there did our best to make sure everyone had an amazing time. We can’t wait to do it again next year! One of our the attendees sent us these kind words:
“It was so well organised and it was just wonderful to have had the chance to come along and experience Watches and Wonders with you Ed and the club. Everyone was so kind and a joy to talk to and I also felt I’d made new friends. I can honestly say both my wife and I enjoyed it hugely. I thought your choices of eateries were fab. I cannot fault anything!!”
